Clubs and associations

There is an active club scene in Singapore, both residential and dining. Modern apartment complexes with superb facilities limit the need for a recreational club, but it is still a good social and networking tool. Popular clubs include the American Club, the China Club, the Tower Club, the Tanglin Club, the Legends at Fort Canning and the Jurong Country Club.

There are numerous associations, allowing newcomers to quickly meet new friends. Dragonboating, triathlon, football and archery are just some of the clubs that have a formal organising body. There are other social networks such as the Photo Art Association, the British Association of Singapore and the American Women’s Association Singapore.
