Hong Kong is the centre of the Asia capital markets business and therefore experts in the areas of banking, securities, derivatives, asset management/funds and sophisticated public and private mergers & acquisitions ar in demand. For most of these specialties, Mandarin Chinese is an advantage but not always a requirement. Strong regional expertise is always sought after and currently, apart from lawyers with substantive China corporate experience, good quality transaction experience in India is sought after.
