Discover Hong Kong

The general impression of Hong Kong as a busy, buzzing mini Manhattan is certainly true but that is only one aspect of this fascinating city.  Yes, we have sophisticated dining and the shops range from the budget markets to the billionaire’s designer boutiques, but what many do not know is that Hong Kong also offers beautiful country parks and fabulous hikes where you can round a bend and have gorgeous bays and sparkling blue water and a mile later, you see the skyscrapers craning their necks to peek over the hills. Sailing, windsurfing and wakeboarding are popular water sports. Chartering a junk (a motorized wooden launch) to an outlying island for a leisurely afternoon picnic or a fun seafood lunch is a popular week-end pastime and of course, we have Disneyland and Ocean Park for the kids. While air pollution has become the newest challenge Hong Kong has to overcome, getting away from the city centre can help make this more bearable.
